Mr Marco Scarci BSc MD (Hons) FRCS (Eng) FCCP

Mr Scarci is a Consultant Thoracic Surgeon at University College London Hospitals NHS Trust and has a practice at The Harley Street Clinic.

 

His specialist training took place in Italy, Malta, the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre and Guy’s and St Thomas’, London. Following a six-month fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at the University of Toronto, Canada, Mr Scarci was appointed Consultant Thoracic Surgeon at Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Cambridge.

 

Clinical practice

Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, including other distinguished surgeons, specialist nurses, radiologists and physicians, Mr Scarci is committed to providing a personalised service which ensures the best treatment and the best outcome for each patient.

 

He welcomes enquiries about surgical and non-surgical treatments for a wide range of conditions, from chest wall deformities and fractured ribs to lung and chest wall cancers.

Marco Scarci leads the chest wall database, pleural malignancies and chest wall working groups of the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS), and sits on the ESTS database committee. In the UK he takes part in working groups for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
