When should you see a thoracic surgeon?

You should consider seeing a thoracic surgeon if you are experiencing any of the following conditions or symptoms related to the chest or thoracic region:

1. Lung cancer or tumors

2. Chest trauma or injury

3. Thoracic (chest) pain or discomfort

4. Persistent cough or difficulty breathing

5. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
